Fractional VP of High School Outreach — The Golden Ivy Education Collective
Ongoing Strategic Leadership

The Strategic Outreach Leader
Your Campus Needs.
Without the Full-Time Hire.

Executive-level oversight of your high school outreach function — month over month, semester over semester — at a fraction of the cost of a full-time VP.

Campus Presidents VPs of Enrollment School System Presidents $4,000 / Month

Most career colleges have a high school outreach program that runs on effort and instinct. A recruiter goes to schools. Cards get collected. Some students show up to campus tours. Some enroll. Leadership sees the enrollment number at the end of the semester and either celebrates or troubleshoots — without ever knowing which school visits, which counselors, or which recruiters actually produced the results.

That cycle repeats every semester. The program doesn't improve. It just repeats.

What changes that is not more recruiters. It is not a bigger travel budget. It is strategic leadership that reviews what happened, identifies what to adjust, and directs the team toward the highest-leverage activity before the next semester begins. That is what a VP of High School Outreach does — and most campuses either don't have one or have one buried under competing enrollment responsibilities.

"Your outreach program is producing results that are invisible to leadership and unrepeatable by design. The fix is not more activity. It is a system that tells you what is working — and someone who knows what to do with that information."
The Decision

Three Ways to Lead High School Outreach

One of them gives you strategic leadership without the overhead of a full-time hire.

Option A
Full-Time VP of High School Outreach
$110,000+
Per year in salary alone — before benefits,
taxes, onboarding, and management overhead
6–12 months to hire and ramp
Full benefits package required
Performance risk on a long-term contract
One person's experience and network
Significant overhead before first result
Option B — Recommended
Fractional VP of High School Outreach
$4,000
Per month · Single campus
First month at signing · 30-day cancellation
Active in the first 30 days — no ramp time
No benefits, no overhead, no long-term risk
20+ years of career college outreach expertise
Cancel with 30 days notice — no penalty
Results visible within the first semester
$48,000/year vs $110,000+ for the same output
Option C
No Dedicated Outreach Leadership
$0
Per month in direct cost — but the pipeline
leaves $300,000–$500,000 on the table every semester
Recruiters operate without strategic direction
No school targeting methodology — habit-based visits
No measurement — leadership can't see what's working
Program resets every semester instead of compounding
Underperformance caught after the fact, not in real time
What You Get Each Month

Not Vague Strategic Guidance. Specific Monthly Deliverables.

Every month your campus receives documented analysis, specific direction, and materials your team can act on immediately.

Monthly
Territory Analysis & School List Review
A monthly review of which schools in your territory are producing visits, cards, tours, and enrollments — and which to add, prioritize, or remove based on performance data. Your school list stops being habit-based and starts being evidence-based every semester.
Monthly
Recruiter Performance Coaching
Individual performance review based on your CRM data — card collection rates, tour conversion, follow-up consistency. Underperformance is identified and addressed monthly instead of surfacing as a bad semester-end number your leadership team has to explain.
Bi-Monthly
Leadership Outreach Report
A formatted report your VP of Enrollment or Campus President can present to regional leadership — showing outreach performance by school, by recruiter, and by program. Leadership stops seeing enrollment totals and starts seeing the channel that is producing them.
Quarterly
School List & Strategy Review
A full quarterly review of territory performance, school tier assignments, counselor relationship status, and outreach calendar. Each quarter your strategy is updated based on what actually happened — not carried forward unchanged from the previous semester.
Ongoing
Recruiter Training & Messaging Support
As your team changes or your program expands, new recruiter training, updated messaging frameworks, and presentation refreshes are included. The system does not degrade when a recruiter leaves or a new program is added — it adapts.
Ongoing
Strategic Direction & Prioritization
Direct access to strategic guidance on outreach decisions — which schools to add for a new program, how to respond to a counselor relationship that has gone cold, how to structure the team around a new semester. Decisions are made with expertise, not instinct.

Fit

Who This Engagement Is Built For

The Campus With an Active Outreach Program That Has Plateaued
Your recruiters are going to schools. Cards are being collected. Some students enroll. But the numbers haven't moved in two or three semesters and nobody can explain why. The program needs strategic direction, not more activity. This engagement provides that direction every month.
The Campus That Just Completed a REACH Program Build
The system is built. The training is done. The CRM is configured. What keeps it running and improving semester over semester is ongoing strategic leadership. The Fractional VP Retainer is the natural continuation of the Program Build engagement — the maintenance and growth layer on top of what was built.
The VP Who Needs Outreach Leadership But Not a Full-Time Hire
You are accountable for enrollment across one or more campuses. High school outreach is a channel that should be producing more than it does. You do not have the budget or the justification for a dedicated VP hire — but you need someone who can own the function strategically. This is that engagement.
The System President Who Needs Consistency Across Campuses
Each campus is running its own version of high school outreach and none of them are producing consistent results. You need a framework, a reporting structure, and strategic oversight that runs across the system. Contact us about multi-campus retainer pricing.
This Engagement Is Not the Right Fit If —
Your campus does not yet have a high school outreach program in place — start with the REACH Program Build
Your campus does not use a CRM to track outreach activity — data infrastructure is a prerequisite
Leadership is not ready to review and act on outreach performance data monthly — the engagement requires a willing partner
You are looking for someone to manage day-to-day recruiter activity — this is strategic oversight, not operational management
$2.5M+
Enrollment revenue generated in one school year through strategic high school outreach
1,500+
Student interest cards collected in a single semester using the REACH Framework
20+
Years in career college admissions and high school counseling across California
1,421%
Increase in Gen Z trade school enrollment over 8 years — the opportunity most campuses are not capturing
The Fractional Executive Retainer
Strategic Outreach Leadership.

The engagement starts immediately and produces visible results within the first semester.

Common Questions

What Campus Leaders Ask Before Starting

Do we need to complete the REACH Program Build before starting the retainer?
No — but the retainer works best when a foundational outreach system is already in place. If your campus is starting from scratch, we will typically recommend the REACH Program Build first, followed by the retainer to sustain and grow what was built. If you have an existing outreach program, we can assess fit on the strategy call.
What CRM does my campus need to have in place?
We work with Salesforce, HubSpot, and most CRM platforms used by career colleges. The key requirement is that your team is actively logging school visits, interest card collection, and campus tour outcomes in your system. If that is not currently happening, we address it in the first 30 days.
How much time does this require from our team each month?
The retainer is designed to add strategic direction without adding administrative burden. Your team will spend approximately two to four hours per month in direct interaction — a monthly check-in, a leadership report review, and any training touchpoints. The analysis, reporting, and strategic planning work is done on our end.
What happens if we need to cancel?
Thirty days written notice is all that is required. There is no penalty, no buyout, and no obligation beyond the notice period. All documentation, reports, and materials produced during the engagement remain with your campus.
Do you work with multi-campus systems?
Yes — multi-campus and system-level engagements are available at a different pricing structure than the single-campus retainer. Contact us directly to discuss scope and pricing for system-level outreach leadership.
How is this different from a consulting engagement?
A consulting engagement builds the system and exits. The Fractional VP Retainer runs the system ongoing. The difference is continuity — a consultant delivers a plan and a framework, then you execute it on your own. The retainer means strategic leadership is present every month, adjusting to what the data shows and directing the team accordingly.

Ready to See If This Is the Right Fit?

The strategy call is 30 minutes. We review your current outreach program, identify the highest-leverage gaps, and confirm whether the retainer is the right engagement for where your campus is right now.
